eBay Tips and Tricks
Useful, free advice for active eBay profit seekers

Collection of site tips...

Below is a collection of all the tip boxes featured on this site. Hopefully it will prove a handy reference.

TIP: Think carefully about your username when first registering on eBay. If you choose "chavscum666" it is hardly going to leave a great impression with potential bidders. At the same time, a username like "john985623233" isn't memorable. Some buyers may wish to keep track of your items so a memorable username is a good idea. Keep it simple.

TIP: If you have to leave negative feedback, try leaving it on the 90th day after the auction has ended. eBay will only allow you to leave feedback for up to 90 days. If you time it correctly, the other party will not be able to leave you any in return (sneaky tactic).

TIP: Treat any emails you receive from eBay with caution. If you click on a link in an email and it asks you for your username and password, close the browser. Instead, open a brand new browser window and sign into your account. Any messages, questions or problems will be highlighted in the "My eBay" section.

TIP: Keep pens, sellotape, sticky labels, Recorded and Special Delivery slips etc in a box. Replace everything when you are finished with it and keep it in a safe place. Then, when you actually come to packaging your items, you won't be rushing round the house trying to find everything.
